ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Early county native is recognized for a half century of service in the legal profession.

Norman Spence was honored Monday by family, partners, and employees of Watson Spence law firm. He started work at the Albany firm 50-years ago.

Spence built the real estate practice and made real estate into a specialty practice in Dougherty County. He also served as a Marine during the Korean conflict.

Dunn Stapleton gave Spence with a jar of peanut butter during his reception. Peanut Butter and crackers was his meal of choice five days a week. Spence continues to practice at the firm.
