Rescue crews use 'Jaws of Life' to help wreck victim

ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  Dougherty County EMS crews and firefighters rescued a man in a one-vehicle mis-hap off U.S. 19 near Putney, south of Stage Coach Road.

Forrest Davies, age 34, of Camilla was driving North on U.S. 19 driving a Tioga recreational vehicle. He ran off the highway, and struck a pecan tree in an orchard.

He told officers that he has high blood pressure, and doesn't know if he blacked out, but just 'found himself heading for a tree.'

He ran off the shoulder, and over-corrected, traveling about 800 feet, crossing all four lanes, in his  motorhome.

Emergency personnel used hydraulic equipment to extricate Davies from the wreckage of the RV.
