ALBANY, GA (WALB) - More than two weeks after the Georgia rebate program offered rebates to people who buy energy efficient appliances, employees at Home Depot say people are coming it at a steady pace.

The rebate applies to all Energy Star products. Some include refrigerators, dish washers stoves, washers and dryers.

We spoke to one woman who says even though she just bought new appliances these deals are hard to pass up.

"I think they're worth it, I really do," said shopper Jackie Toye. "I would keep this for years just like I did my own appliance. You'll keep it for years to come. $1,899 is nothing when you think of all the things your purchase. That would be $1,899 I could look at for a very long time."

Georgia has more than $8,000,000 to fund the program. It spent more than $1,000,000 so far. Rebates will continue until all funds are depleted.
