ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Investigators are working to find out what killed a man found dead behind an Albany house.

The body of 50-year-old Vincent Grant was found behind an abandoned house early Sunday morning in the 500 block of Cotton Avenue.

There was no blood at the scene and no suspects, but his death is being treated as a murder investigation.

Alonzo Jones was at the scene who knew the victim.

"As I got down here I saw people running from down there saying we have a dude in the back yard. They called the police and said he had been in the back yard ever since about eleven o'clock Friday night," said Jones.

Vincent Grant's body will be sent to the crime lab to determine an exact cause of death.
