Milledgeville, GA- The Terrell Academy girls basketball team won a 2nd straight state championship on Saturday in thrilling fashion.
Tied at 42 with three seconds to play Alex Barfield's three pointer gave Terrell Academy a 45-42 win over Fullington Academy.
"This is a rush of awesomeness. I can't explain it. It is the greatest feeling of my life winning state back to back" said Barfield.
"Oh yeah I knew it. She is so calm. she knew what she had to do. she did a good job" said junior Millie Foster.
"Through thick and thin they stuck together like a team and we were able to pull it off right there at the end. I am so proud of them"said head coach Keith Jones.
A three peat next year will have to come in AA when the Lady Eagles move up in classification.
