(Leesburg)  -   It's time to stand up and be counted.

The 2010 Census Count kicks off in Leesburg this afternoon.  Organizers will gather at the Lee County Administration building at 3 p.m. for a kickoff rally.

Groups of volunteers will then fan out across Lee County to put up signs reminding citizens of the census.

A census rally will also be held in Albany today.  From noon until four there will be food, music and entertainment at the Shackleford Shopping Center on Oglethorpe Blvd.

City Commissioners Jon Howard and Dorothy Hubbard, organizers of the Census Block Party,  will also be there to talk about the importance of the census.

Census forms will begin arriving in the mail in mid-March.
