ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Macon native and Doublegate Country Club golf pro Ed Everett was inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame last week.
The Doublegate membership honored Everett for his accomplishment on Friday.
The club hosting reception to honor their golf pro.
Everett, who is also in the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame, says last week was the biggest honor in his great career.
Ed Everett said. "It is a great honor. An honor that I never expected to have and like I called it in my speech up there it is the pinnacle of my career."
Former FSU great Ron Simmons, former Georgia gymnastics coach Suzanne Youclan and Georgia football great Larry Rakestraw were also inducted into the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.
