LEE COUNTY, GA (WALB) – A long list of famous Americans made a stop in Lee County Friday.

Lee County Primary School students gave a special Salute to America.

They dressed as notable figures from the past and present, it's a fun history lesson they do every year.

"We celebrate it for the whole week we research famous Americans and state symbols, it's just a lot of fun for the kids and staff," said Jenny Emerson, 2nd Grade Teacher, Lee Co. Primary School.

The Lee Count High ROTC and The Marine Band also took part in the celebration.
