Rams swept in regular season finale

TUSACLOOSA, AL (WALB) -   The Albany State Rams end the regular season with a 100-88 loss to Stillman College Thursday night in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Rams trailed 42-41 at halftime but the Tigers led by Lajay Sears 27 points put up 58 points in the second half.

James Clark led Albany State with 29 points.

The Rams end the season 13-11 in the SIAC and 15-12 overall heading into the SIAC tournament next week.

The loss may drop the Rams to the 8th seed in that tournament.

Stillman's gives the Tigers a 13-10 record and the Tigers swept the Rams this season.

LeMoyne-Owen is 13-10 and the Magicians face Lane on Saturday.

The Lady Rams had a tough night on the foul line and lost 67-62 to the Lady Tigers.

Coach Robert Skinner says his Lady Rams team was 16-32 from the foul line.

Callie Hamilton scored 16 points for the Lady Rams, Nafeesha Frost had 15 points and so did Markeisha Henderson also scored 15 points for the ASU women.

Albany State finishes at 9-13 in the SIAC and 9-18 overall and play Paine College in the first round of the SIAC tournament on Tuesday in Atlanta.
