ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The monkey was knocked off the back of the Terrell Academy Lady Eagles last year in Milledgeville when they finally won the school's first GISA state title.
The Lady Eagles are back in Milledgville and looking to repeat.
It is a new feeling for the Terrell Academy girls team who are back in the final four for a sixth straight year.
Repeating is not the only goal for the Lady Eagles.
Their semifinal opponent David Emanuel beat Terrell Academy twice early in the season.
The Lady Eagles say they are a different team now.
Guard Millie Foster said. "Definitely we are ready. We have worked very hard in practice this week. I think we have prepared ourselves really well for them."
Marlee Locke said. "We are more familiar with each other. We have learned how to play with each other. We have just grown a lot as a team since back before Christmas."
The Lady Eagles play David Emanuel at 2:30 p.m. at Georgia College on Friday.
Region rivals Crisp Academy and Fullington play at 1:00 p.m. at 5:30 p.m. in AA Tiftarea faces Bulloch.
