Valdosta-- People are showing their support by signing the "Give our troops a hand" billboard. The sign will be displayed in different areas of town until the war is over.

"The billboards to help us get everyone in Valdosta involved and remind them to support our troops," said 'Shag' of Hot 102.7.

"We all have people over there that we love and it takes the community as a whole to support our troops," says Loyd Childree of Lamar Advertising.

If you'd like to sign the billboard, it will be at Sonny's Barbecue until 6:00 tonight. The "Give our troops a hand" program is also collecting monetary donations for families whose loved ones have been killed in combat.

You can make those donations at any Regions Bank.
