ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The art of a well-known Georgian is on display at the Albany Museum of art.
Lamar Dodd was born in Fairburn in 1909.
The exhibit called "A Life of Art" shows his realistic and abstract paintings.
"One of his most important contributions was to art education, this exhibition includes 70 works by Dodd from his career from the 1920s to the 1990s," said Nick Nelson, Museum Director.
Dodd is recognized for organizing the University of Georgia's Visual arts program.
