LAKELAND, GA (WALB) –  Lakeland Police officers seized five video gambling machines Tuesday afternoon.

They conducted a raid of the Quick Stop convenience store on South Valdosta Highway about 3:30 Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to the video gambling machines, officer seized $9,200 in cash.

They made no arrests Tuesday, but Lakeland police are seeking a warrant on the store owner, Vipul Patel.

LPD officers say they are concerned about the negative impact that gambling addiction has on families.
