By Jim Wallace - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) –A seventh semi truck load of peanut butter donated by the peanut industry will be shipped to Haiti next week.
South Georgians and the peanut industry have sent almost 250,000 pounds of peanut butter and peanut products worth about $400,000 dollars to Haiti for earthquake relief.
The Early County 2055 committee spearheaded the effort.
As soon as a shipment of Skippy peanut butter from Little Rock, Arkansas arrives, this latest truckload will head to Miami to be shipped on a barge to Haiti.
