ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany pastor was recognized at his own church for a quarter century of service, on Sunday Pastor Billy Hanna celebrating 25th anniversary as pastor at First Freewill Baptist Church on North Westover.

Since he's been pastor the church has moved into a new building and has since paid it off. He gave much of the church's success over the past fifty plus years to its members.

"The congregation is such a harmonious congregation and very enthusiastic about the things of God, I hope we'll remain steadfast and united and reach more people for Christ," Pastor Billy Hanna, First Free Will Baptist Church.

Members recognized his years of service by establishing a scholarship in his name at the bible college he graduated from.
