Police searching for missing child & grandmother

ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Albany Police is looking for a missing 3-year-old child and her grandmother.

Officials say Tamira Collins has been missing since yesterday. Her grandmother was supposed to pick her up at school Friday afternoon and return her home but never showed up.

Tamira Collins is about two feet tall and weighs 60 pounds.

Her grandmother, 51-year-old Marie Harper Wright is about 5'5 and 140 pounds.

Wright was supposed to pick up Collins from Head Start Child Development center yesterday at three o'clock.

The mother had not seen or heard from either of the two. She called police around 11:30 last night.

Wright was driving a white Pontiac Grand Am which belongs to the child's mother, Lashonna Lawson.

Scarlette M Wimberly She did not think her brother, Airman 1st Class Jason Florence, would make it to her graduation. He's been stationed in Alaska for more than two years.
