ALBANY, GA (WALB) – One of the two men shot early Sunday morning in Albany has died; police were called to Brick House Productions in the 1700 block of Turner Field Road shortly before 5:30.

The murder victim was 20-year-old LaShelton Stanford from Flovilla, Georgia, he and was shot multiple times, and died on the ground outside of the club. The second victim was 35-year old George Ferguson from Albany, he was a security guard at Nabs Tavern, and was injured during the shooting.

Dougherty County District Attorney Greg Edwards said the shooting stemmed from an argument inside the club where several dozen people were partying.

Police took at least two dozen witnesses who were inside the building to headquarters for questioning. They do have a person of interest.
