PUTNEY, GA (WALB) – A wreck on Highway 19 has some people calling for a traffic light at a troublesome intersection.

Juanita Hutto was attempting to cross over the busy highway when a pickup truck slammed into her going over 60-miles-per-hour.

Her truck spun around and came to stop but the other vehicle slid across the road and into a ditch. Hutto admits the accident was her fault but she says the dangerous intersection is also partially to blame.

"I'm just so glad everybody is okay. I'm glad nobody really got hurt," says Hutto. "But like I said, we do need a red light. The whole town knows we need a red light here."

EMS checked everyone on the scene and amazingly, no one sustained serious injuries.
