Snow Hits all of South Georgia

(WALB) -- The rare winter storm snow reached all of South Georgia Friday with snow reports as far south as Thomas County and Valdosta. 

The heaviest snow fell in the Lumpkin/Stewart County area where 6 inches of snow is estimated. Randolph County snow totals ranged from 2 to 3 inches. 

In Albany and Dougherty County snowfall is estimated at 1 and 1/2 inches.

Ben Hill County got 2 inches.

Early County reported 1 to 2 inches. 

Lee County snowfall ranged from 1 and 1/2 to 2 inches. 

Sumter County got 2 to 3 inches of snow. 

 Snow was also reported in DeFuniak Springs/Walton County Florida.
