ALBANY, GA (WALB) –An Albany Doctor charged with sexually assaulting one of his patients was booked then released on bond Friday.

Dr. Kalpesh Patel of the Albany Neurology and Headache Center was indicted this week for sexual assault.

Patel and his lawyer ran from us outside the Courthouse after he surrendered to Sheriff's officials and posted ten thousand dollars bond.

Patel is accused of grabbing a patients' breasts and removed her underwear during a medical exam in 2008. Patel could face up to 30 years in prison if convicted.
