ALBANY, GA (WALB) – An Albany woman was charged with D-U-I Tuesday after she struck two cars on busy South Slappey Boulevard injuring two people.

Just before five this evening, 49-year-old Mary Mathis was heading north near Burger King.

Police say her Cadillac Deville drifted into the turn lane and hit a Neon and a Camry.

Two people in the Camry, 26-year-old Shanique Williams and 41-year-old David Jones were treated at Phoebe Putney and released.

Mathis is hospitalized in fair condition. She faces an additional charge of failure to maintain lane.
