ALBANY, GA (WALB) – In less than a month, you have a chance to win a million dollars in Albany.
The second Flint Riverquarium Turtle Race will be held during Mardis Gras on March 6th.
You can adopt a turtle right now for five dollars. There are 10,000 turtles available. The money raised goes to benefit the Riverquarium. If your turtle wins and it has a pre-selected code, you could win a million dollars.
"It's a great fun fundraiser for the aquarium," said Event Chair Laura Calhoun. "I mean, I think we all know the aquarium here is kind of the crown jewel of downtown, an amazing facility, not many communities this size have facilities like this, but it also requires money to run and so this is a way everybody in the community can participate."
