VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) – Valdosta Police say a mother and daughter were shot in a house on Branch Point Drive in north Valdosta Monday morning around 7:00AM.
They are in critical condition.
A search is underway for the shooter, who police say is the girl's father, Roy Smith.
Police believe the man is driving a black 2002 Escalade (the style with a truck bed) with a woman passenger.
Smith owns white Escalade, which was found at his home in Richmond, Virginia.
They believe he is headed to Virginia, New York, or Hinesville, Georgia.
