MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) – A high speed chase in Moultrie Sunday afternoon ended in a three car accident, injuring 2 and sending one man to jail.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Woodmen Road at the intersection of Dorsey Road. State troopers tell us a Colquitt County deputy was in pursuit of a 1994 Isuzu Rodeo driven by 39-year-old James Kastelic of Moultrie.

Kastelic attempted to pass in a no passing zone when his S-U-V went into a ditch, overcorrected, and then came back in the road and striking a Crown Victoria driven by Timothy Vaughn.

The Crown Victoria then struck an oncoming GMC Yukon. No one in the Yukon was hurt. Vaughn and his passenger Lisa Hancock were rushed to Archbold Memorial Hospital. We're told Hancock received serious injuries.

Timothy Kastelic was treated and released for minor injuries and is now in the Colquitt County Jail facing several charges including attempting to allude an officer, passing in a no passing no zone, and driving on a suspended license.
