ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Two years ago, doctors discovered something no parent wants to hear. Doctors diagnosed Colleen Hood with Cystic Fibrosis when she was one-year-old.

Now she's three. Family and friends held a dinner at Austin's Barbeque Sunday night to raise money for other children and adults who suffer from the chronic lung disease.

Plates were $20 bucks. Half of the proceeds will to towards fighting the disease

It's the superbowl and everybody wants to have a good time so we're all trying to join forces and with the economy like it is we need some kind of hook to bring them in with the economy down," said Owner Austin Newman.

In April Great Strides will hold a walk in downtown Albany to help cure cystic fibrosis.
