VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) – Valdosta Police won't release the name of the victim, who was kicked and punched by a masked man who walked into her home on West Alden Street at 8:00AM after her parents left to take her children to school.

Police say it's possible the attacker waited until they left to go into the home.

"He had his face covered, and entered the front door confronted the female that was inside assaulted her," said Valdosta Police Lt. Aaron Kirk. "No serious injuries; she was checked out by EMS and they left the scene."

The assailant is white and about six feet tall. He was wearing blue jeans and a denim shirt.

Police say he stole a camera and medication from the home.
