VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –Valdosta police arrested a man they say robbed five businesses at gunpoint.

20-year old Damian Norwood is in jail charged with five counts of armed robbery, five counts of possession of a firearm, and and four counts of kidnapping.

Investigators also arrested two men they say helped him with one robbery each.

21-year-old Brandon Green and Jonjulian Smithson Marina are charged with one count of party to the crime of armed robbery.

"A lot of people think you'll look into it and if you don't get any clues you just set it aside but what our detectives have been doing is looking at similarities and the possibilities of these armed robberies being related," said Valdosta Police Captain Bobbi McGraw.

Police say Norwood robbed McDonalds, Raceway, Flash Foods on Gordon and St. Augustine, and Bojangles between November and January.
