AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Southwestern basketball teams no that being close is not good enough.
Clayton State won beat the Hurricanes 65-64 at the Storm Dome.
Marcus Scott led the Canes (5-15, 1-9) with 20 points and Evan Mobley had 16.
The Lady Canes fell 56-54 to the Lady Lakers.
Brittany Reynolds had 15 points for the GSW women who are 9-11 and 4-6 in the Peach Belt.
The Georgia Southwestern basketball teams are on the road Saturday at Montevallo.
