Albany- Over three hundred college students are honored for high scholastic achievement. Albany State University held its annual Honors Day Convocation Ceremony Friday.

Harvard University Professor Peter Gomes was the keynote speaker. Several award recipients say being recognized for their achievements motivates them to become even better students.

ASU senior, Manxavier Green, says, "I am so proud. I have worked hard for four years, and it has paid off."

Peter Gomes is also author of the national best selling book, "The Good Book: Reading the Bible with Mind and Heart."
