ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The United Way of Southwest Georgia is looking to help families get on the road to financial stability by offering free tax preparation this weekend.

Individuals and families earning less than $49,000 are eligible. They can come to the United Way office on Dawson Road Saturday.

This is second year the United Way has offered free tax-filing help.

"They're going to done by certified, trained IRS Volunteers. When they make the appointment it can be anywhere from 9 a.m. To 4 p.m. Saturday. They'll need to bring basic things with them like a pay stub, if they have one or their ID," said Brooke Willoughby, United Way of Southwest Georgia.

They'll accept walk-ins, but they say it's best if you make an appointment.

Do that by calling 2-1-1.
