MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) –  Moultrie Police charge a third teenager with last week's murder of an 18-year-old.

16-year-old Maurice Lewis Welch was arraigned Tuesday. His parents turned him over to authorities after learning their son was a suspect in the shooting death of 18-year-old Juan Giron-Lopez.

Police also upgraded charges against 18-year-old Tamorious Collins. He is now charged with murder in addition to making false statements.

The suspected triggerman, Demetrius Key, is also in jail. Police say he fired shots at Giron-Lopez and several other young men in the yard of their Joe Louis Avenue home a week ago.

The investigation continues.
