MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) – Business went on as usual Monday afternoon at Universal Forest Products, but just yards away on the property GBI agents and sheriff's investigators worked a crime scene.

Just before 3 o'clock, frantic workers called 9-1-1 after an employee shot and killed a co-worker before turning the gun on himself. It was in warehouse office at the wood manufacturing business where deputies found a Hispanic man and woman dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

"When deputies arrived, we found two Hispanics DOA when we arrived on the scene," said Capt. Hal Suber, Colquitt County Sheriff's Office.

GBI agents interviewed witnesses, many of them who were in or around the area when the gunshots rang out.

"Several people witnessed different parts of it. I'm not absolutely sure if anyone witnessed the actual shooting," said Suber.

A Ford Expedition belonging to the suspected shooter was towed away for processing.

Investigators aren't sure what the relationship was between the two, or if there was a violent past, but they are looking into the connection.

Suber said, "As we complete our investigation we'll talk to folks to see if there was a history between these we don't know if there was at this time or not."

The Colquitt County coroner says he is in the process of speaking with family members to get a positive ID on the man and woman.

This shooting happened one week after an Hispanic teenager was shot and killed in his yard in Moultrie.

The suspected gunman in that murder was arrested over the weekend.
