ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Three people were killed in a head on collision on Interstate 75.

The crash happened just south of Cordele around 11:00 Wednesday night.

56 year old James Allen Jones of Newnan was headed north when he crossed the median and drove into the southbound lanes.

He slammed head-on into a car carrying a family of four.

Jones was killed and so were the man and woman in the other vehicle 38-year old Mark Eldridge and 30 year old Crystal Eldridge of Tunnell Hill.

The Eldridge's two small children survived.

The family was on the way to Disney.
