ALBANY, GA (WALB) –  It's not too late to get a flu shot and now the Dougherty County Health Department is holding a weekend clinic to make the vaccine more available.

The Health Department will hold a four hour clinic Saturday, January 30th to administer the H1N1 Flu Shot. Health officials say they have a lot of vaccine available. You don't need an appointment, just stop by the Health Department on South Slappey Boulevard. The shot is free and health officials say the flu is still a threat in southwest Georgia.

"The peak of flu season here in southwest Georgia is probably around February," said Suzette Profit, Immunization Coordinator.

Saturday's clinic will run from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM. The vaccine is offered free of charge.
