COOK COUNTY, GA (WALB) –A Cook County man was killed Thursday morning when his pick-up truck rolled over.

72-year-old James Myers was thrown out of his Ford Ranger truck around 10 Thursday morning on Barneyville Road.

Troopers don't think Myers was wearing a seatbelt.

"As it appears the vehicle was negotiating a curve lost control left the roadway, overcorrected, and then overturned," said Georgia State Patrol Trooper David Sellars.

Barneyville Road is just off I-75 in Cook County.

No one else was in the truck with him.
