(Atlanta-AP) -- Governor Perdue says he will tour Mitchell and Worth counties, where six people died after a tornado hit the area in southwest Georgia.
Perdue issued a statement this morning saying his thoughts and prayers are with people who have lost relatives or whose homes or businesses have been damaged.
He says he has authorized the Georgia Emergency Management Agency to lead efforts to determine the amount of damage.
