ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Darton College basketball team is on a roll with four straight wins.
Three of those wins are in the region and have Darton above the .500 mark heading into a first place showdown Thursday against South Georgia Tech.
A big reason for the Lady Cavs turnaround is the play of post player Dominique Gilbert.
Gilbert leads the region in scoring and his third in rebounding.
The former Monroe star transferred from Gulf Coast to Darton because she wanted to play.
She is also feels more comfortable playing her hometown.
Dominique Gilbert said. "I am happy because I get a chance to, colleges get a chance to see me play and maybe I can go to a four year school and do the same thing."
Laura Blackwell said. "She is playing relaxed. She is having some fun and a lot of times when you are just doing that good things are happening for you."
Darton hosts South Georgia Tech at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Cavalier Arena.
