ALBANY, GA (WALB) –The owner of the Quiznos Restaurant franchise in Albany says his business is another victim of the bad economy. He closed both his locations.
The sign on the door at the Westover Boulevard Quiznos thanks customers for their support for the last four years.
Owner Todd Stone said sales at his two shops have been bad for nearly two years and finally forced him to close.
He had 16 employees in November when he closed his Merry Acres location.
He laid off his final 7 employees this week.
Stone said he saw a steady decline in business when gas prices soared and the economy crashed, and it never recovered.
