ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Sowega Council on Aging is asking seniors to speak out about their needs.

The council offers more than a dozen services to aging adults, from job placement services to meals on wheels. Tuesday and again in February, the people who use those services are getting a chance to speak out about what they like and what services are lacking.

Kay Hind said, "We are trying to find out what some of the older people want, rather than us sitting in the office deciding what's important."

Two more hearings have been set. One for Cairo on February 2nd. Another at the Marine Base on the 3rd of February.
