By Jim Wallace - bio | email ALBANY, GA (WALB) –Two people were charged with disorderly conduct after Police and Sheriff's Deputies broke up an argument outside the Dougherty County Courthouse Monday morning.
25-year old Melissa Manning and 17-year old Devonta Covin were cited for yelling and cursing.
Deputies say two groups of people began shouting during a court hearing.
They say one group included friends and families of suspected gang members scheduled for trial.
The others were witnesses and victims.
The argument continued on Champion Lane beside the courthouse where officers stepped in.
The Sheriff says he won't tolerate witness tampering or intimidation and violators will be dealt with quickly.
