ALBANY, GA (WALB) – A few weeks ago The American Red Cross put out an urgent call for blood donations.

The community has been responding with a number of blood drives recently.

For four hours Saturday, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority held a blood drive for their members and others.

Omega Psi Phi also partnered with the ladies to donate several pints of blood. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity will host their blood drive in March.
