ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  A warning tonight from police in Moultrie after a man tried to kidnap a girl on her way to school.

Police say the man tried to convince the 12-year-old to get into his car in the Forest Creek area Tuesday morning.

When she refused, he followed her as she walked to Willie J. Williams Middle School where she told a counselor.

"Don't talk to strangers," Moultrie Police Investigator Kim Weissinger warned kids. "If someone approaches you use your voice. Scream, run, yell, do anything you can to get the attention of someone," she said.

Police don't have a detailed description of the suspect but say he's white, in his forties, and was driving a silver 4-door car.
