FRANKFORT, KY (WALB) - Another close game and another tough loss for the Albany State Rams.
William Marsh hit two free throws with six seconds to play to seal Kentucky State's 76-73 win over the Golden Rams Thursday.
The Thorobreds opened a 14 point lead in the first half but the Rams were down only three at half.
Both teams had five point leads in the second half but the Thorobreds took the lead for good on a pair of free throws by Patrick Dawson with just under six minutes to play.
Brandon Sims led the Rams with 15 points.
Albany State is 5-9 and 5-6 in the SIAC.
The Lady Rams went cold in overtime and lose 69-63.
Callie Hamilton led the ASU women (3-13, 3-8) with 14 points.
