ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Almost two months after announcing his retirement from high school coaching at Dougherty High, Charles Flowers will be back on the sidelines this fall.
Flowers told WALB News 10 Sports Thursday night he has been named head coach at Troup High in LaGrange.
Flowers taking the job at the school he graduated from in 1977.
Since he has qualified for retirement, Flowers says he will be working in a part-time capacity at Troup.
His first coaching job was in Troup County at the now closed West Point High in 1984.
He spent the majority of his high school coaching career at Shaw High at Columbus.
He was the head coach at Dougherty for three seasons where he was 13-17.
