GEORGIA DOT RESCHEDULES S.R. 32/S.R. 195 WEEKEND ROAD CLOSURE AT R/R CROSSING IN LEESBURG
WHEN: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31
WHERE: S.R. 32/S.R. 195 at R/R Crossing in Leesburg
WHAT: The Georgia Department of Transportation announced today that Norfolk-Southern has scheduled crews to upgrade the railroad crossing on S.R. 32/S.R. 195 in Leesburg from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, January 30 and Sunday, January 31.
The detour routes will be marked as follows:
- Motorists wanting to access S.R. 32 West or U.S. 19 from S.R. 195 will be detoured left (east) on S.R. 32; then turn right (south) on Lovers Lane Rd.; then turn right (west) on Robert Lee Dr. and continue to the intersection of U.S. 19/ S.R. 32.
- Motorists wanting to access S.R. 32 East from U.S. 19/S.R. 32 will be detoured east onto Robert Lee Dr.; then turn left (north) on Lovers Lane Rd.; and continue to S.R. 32.
- Motorists wanting to access S.R. 195 North from U.S. 19/S.R. 32 will be detoured east onto Robert Lee Dr.; then turn left (north) on Lovers Lane Rd.; then turn left (west) on S.R. 32 and continue to S.R.195 North.
As in any work zone, motorists are reminded to pay special attention to traffic control devices, signs and posted speed limits to ensure safe passage while traveling this detour route.
