VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - While the Valdosta State men are celebrating their win over the weekend of number one ranked Augusta State, the Lady Blazers are also feeling good about their season.
After losing six of their first ten games, the VSU women have rolled off five straight wins after last night's blowout victory over Clark Atlanta.
During his team's losing streak before the holidays, Lady Blazers head coach Kiley Hill believed his team would get things turned around.
That is exactly what has happened and at the right time with the VSU women facing eight conference opponents in their final nine regular season games.
Kiley Hill said. "We are finally making shots. Shots that we are applying the shots we practice into a game setting. If the kids feel comfortable doing those things, positive things will result out of that."
The Valdosta State basketball teams host West Alabama Thursday night at the VSU Complex.
