ALBANY, GA (WALB) – Some South Georgians spent the Martin Luther King Holiday giving back to the community.
It was a day of service for more than a dozen members of Omega Psi Phi fraternity in Albany. They cleaned up the corner of Slappey Boulevard and Gillionville Road, a corner they've adopted and work to keep in top shape.
Frank Wilson said, "It's called a day of service and we wanted to make sure that we honored Dr. King, rather than having a day off, we took a day on."
Omega Psi Phi fraternity is a partner with Keep Albany Dougherty Beautiful.
