ALBANY, GA (WALB) – The Albany transit director has been reassigned. The city manager's office investigated Nedra Woodyatt after getting an anonymous complaint letter.

Assistant city manager Wes Smith says the investigation uncovered that maintenance on transit vehicles was not being properly performed. He says it also showed a disconnect between Woodyatt and some of her employees.

Woodyatt works for MV Operations, a company that has the contract for transit operations in Albany. The problems were reported to the company and she was transferred.

Assistant City Manager Wes Smith said, "Ultimately uncovered some management issues that it just wasn't working like it was supposed to and some real concerns with maintenance, particularly in documentation and, of course, with transit maintenance of the buses is a real critical issue."

Lee Burner has been named interim manager for Albany Transit.
