VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) –The cold temperatures didn't keep people from camping out for freebies at a new Chick-fil-A in Valdosta.
The first 100 campers will get free Chick-fil-A for a year.
83 people had signed up as of 4 o'clock.
People pitched camp Tuesday at the new Chick-fil-A on Inner Perimeter Road. When the store opens Thursday at 6 a.m., they'll get 52 combo meal coupons each.
Chik-fil-A grand openings do have a following. This is Libby Knupp's and her husband's 46th Chik-fil-A camp-out. They're from south Florida.
"There are people here who have been to 35," she said. "We aren't the only crazy ones."
Next they'll head to Miami-Lakes for another Chick-fil-A grand opening.
