ALBANY, GA (WALB) –No arrests yet after a search at an Albany apartment Tuesday that was part of a huge statewide child porn crackdown.

Dougherty County Police and G-B-I agents seized computers and other evidence from an apartment in the Greenbriar Complex off Beattie Road.

That evidence was sent to the G-B-I crime lab for a forensic examination.

Dougherty County Police Don Cheek said "So it's liable to be time consuming before we get that back. We are not at a point where we will arrest, until we know that there is in fact pornographic material. Child pornography."

The raids were part of Operation Restore Hope led by the G-B-I.

Investigators arrested 44 people and seized 279 computers seized in 34 Georgia Counties.
